Kulturhof Hinter Musegg - lived sustainability

The non-profit foundation Stiftung Kultur- und Lebensraum Musegg is operating one of the last small farms in the middle of Lucerne. The farm operates biologically, manages a biological restaurant and a farm shop, organizes cultural events, rents out event locations, and offers educational programs for children and adults.

We aim to use and sell only local and biological products in our restaurant. Our restaurant is the first swiss restaurant to be awarded 3 out of 3 Bio Cuisine stars. This means we cook with more than 90% biological ingredients. We are avoiding food waste and are trying to let you experience swiss food in a sustainable way.

In Summer (from 26. April 2024)

During summer our restaurant is outside. Right next to our animal stables, you can enjoy farm life in the middle of Lucerne. During the opening hours of our farm shop, you are always welcome to have drinks and snacks. It is advised to make reservations for dinner and our farm breakfast since it can get quite busy.

In Winter (from 22. September 2023)

In winter we are serving dinner and brunch in our Heubühne. The Heubühne used to be a platform in our stable where the hay for the animals was stored. Now seperated from the stable, the renovated Heubühne serves as our restaurant in winter, as well as our event location throughout the whole year.
